Lawrence Vargas Christmas Ornaments
Proud of his multi cultural ancestory, Lawrence Vargas inspirations stem from his rich and varied lineage. It is the influence of early Aztec Indian beginnings as well as his roots in Mexico,Spain and South America that emerges as a unique blending of cultures in his art. This 'mestizo' or mix of cultures intertwined with the faith and tradition of his New Mexican ancestry is reflected in Lawrence's distinctive, artistic style sought out by collectors the world over.
We are pleased to offer his beautiful designs that have been rendered in glass. Amazingly these are inside art which simply means that they have been painted by oriental artisans who have continued the tradition of painting glass on the reverse. In this case thats the inside of the ornament; impossible as it sounds they have very small brushes and apply the paint by reaching down through the small hole now covered by the gold hanger.
The painting process for each beautiful ornament can take up to 3 days to complete. No two will be exactly the same as the brush strokes vary to the artist painting them but the design and colors will remain true to what you see.
Each ornament comes in a silk covered gift box padded to cushion the ornament inside.
